Services

Below is a list of services I specialize in that I offer to individuals, couples and families, with an age range from 16 to 65. This is not an exhaustive list. Please go to “Booking”, and complete an application or contact me directly if you don’t see a specific service or challenge that you would like to work through.

Individuals

  • Are you struggling with the relationship you have with your body? Therapy looks at the stories and cultural messages that shape your beliefs, spots unhelpful thoughts and habits, and teaches skills to reduce shame and self-criticism. Approaches I use include cognitive-behavioral work to challenge distorted thoughts, mindfulness to reconnect with sensations, and emotion-focused work to process past experiences. The aim is not a specific look but more self-compassion, better functioning, and a more flexible relationship with your body so you can live with more confidence and ease.

  • Treating complex trauma uses a gentle, integrated approach for mind, body, and inner parts shaped by early wounds. I primarily use parts work, mindfulness exercises and somatic therapy to address these challenges. Parts work helps identify and talk with protective and wounded inner selves so they can cooperate. Mindfulness and meditation help you to calmly notice difficult thoughts and sensations. Somatic therapy releases stored trauma, calms the nervous system, and restores bodily safety. We will focus on gradual steps, building resources, and integration so you can live more peacefully.

  • Feeling out of touch with your creativity or hobbies? Creative blocks often signal unresolved emotions and internalized judgment. In therapy, collaborative methods offer a gentle way through this resistance. We can create a safe, exploratory space where art can access imagery and feelings words can’t. Co-creating, dialoguing with artwork, or using the therapist as a creative partner reduces isolation and normalizes setbacks. Over time you will regain playfulness, remove self-criticism, and build habits that sustain creative flow.

Couples

  • Want to strengthen your relationship before making a long-term commitment? Premarital counseling can reveal how roles, communication, boundaries, and unspoken rules shape expectations, helping couples spot repeating patterns. I use a solution-focused approach to highlight your strengths, and build healthy communication quickly. This therapeutic process provides short-term actionable steps and continued growth.

  • To be transparent, I am a straight, cisgender woman. It is an honor to be an ally alongside the queer clients and couples I currently serve. I provide LGBTQ-affirming couples therapy, offering a respectful, nonjudgmental space to address challenging relationship dynamics. I recognize challenges like minority stress, coming out, family acceptance, chosen-family boundaries, and legal/medical concerns. Sessions can help strengthen communication, resolve conflict, build trust, and support each partner’s identity and well-being. This process provides practical tools to deepen connection, negotiate roles, and foster a partnership grounded in respect and authenticity.

  • In addition to supporting queer couples, I also provide a safe space where couples who practice forms of ethical non-monogamy and kinks can feel heard and supported. I hold confidentiality and clear boundaries as central to our work. Together we can address communication, consent, negotiation of agreements, jealousy, risk-aware safety, and the emotional impacts of power dynamics. This process is tailored to your values and goals, whether you’re learning to repair breaches of trust, explore identity and desire, or strengthen connection across multiple partners. My approach centers attachment-based approaches so you can build healthier relationships on your own terms.

Families

  • Family therapy intensives give families focused time to tackle relationship problems quickly. With more time than a typical weekly visit, families can dig into deeper issues and get more solution-focused guidance. This approach cuts down on repeated short visits and combines assessment, intervention, and skill practice in one meeting. For families wanting real progress in less time, a two-hour intensive can bring clarity, rebuild connection, and create a clear plan for moving forward. If this is something your family needs, we can collaborate on the best steps forward together.

  • Are you and your children struggling with life transitions after getting remarried? I help blended families build stronger, more connected relationships by using solution-focused and attachment-based approaches. Together we will identify achievable goals that produce immediate improvements within the family dynamic. Sessions will focus on improving clear, respectful communication, resolving loyalty and boundary issues, and creating predictable routines that foster security and belonging for every family member. The result is a tailored plan that promotes mutual understanding, reduces conflict, and strengthens emotional bonds so your blended family can move forward with more trust and cooperation.

  • Family therapy for older parents and their adult children offers a compassionate, practical space to resolve long-standing conflicts and to process collective trauma that spans generations. I work with families to create safety, improve communication, and identify patterns that keep wounds open. Together we will explore unmet needs and power shifts that come with aging, caregiving, loss, and changing roles. Family therapy will focus on rebuilding trust, setting clearer boundaries, and developing shared language for painful experiences so healing can move forward. Using trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches, I help families achieve connected, respectful relationships while honoring individual needs and cultural identities.
